At Roundway Pharmacy we provide extended access through the NHS to advice and specific sexual health services as part of the Public Health Service. The pharmacist will personally provide this free service for any female patient aged 13 years or older.
The pharmacist will ensure that the service is provided in an appropriate private environment - it will be user friendly, non-judgemental, client-centred and will be totally confidential.
Pharmacists can prescribe where appropriate after consideration of the patient's medical history a safe effective form of EHC which can be used up to 72 hours after unprotected sexual intercourse.
The pharmacist will discuss the patients ongoing contraceptive needs and sign post the patient to an appropriate prescriber to meet their future requirements.
